Our Daily Loose Leaf Offerings We are delighted to offer a wonderful selection of the finest loose leaf teas to our community. We only purchase these beautiful tea leaves from and through Germany. In Germany, there are strong laws and regulations about the processing of tea. For example, all teas processed in Germany are controlled for minimum or no amounts of pesticides and no artificial color or flavoring. There is no comparable quality control in the U.S. In addition, Germany has even more stringent control in the laboratory which allows for only the best teas to pass for production. This is also the reason why we had to leave out some popular specialties. While there is no problem importing certain teas from a variety of countries, the high standards regulated by Germany will not allow them to pass through our strict selection process. We do not exclude you possibly finding a tea with the same ingredients, from the same garden, with the same leaf size, at a lower price. However, we are quite confident that the tea leaves they offer will not be from the same ideal fermentation process. And again, the leaves are simply not of the same quality. Enjoy, Joyce Wells
